Hey hey! It’s been a while since I’ve updated this page with a new post; however, we’ve been hard at work on the game demo, and some sweet new changes are happening behind the scenes! Let’s get into it!
Firstly, we have transitioned to primarily working in-engine. We are almost halfway through the year, and while a game demo still has a far way to go, we are making the right moves to kick us into overdrive.
Namely, we have welcomed two new members to the production team!! Branson is a colleague of mine from college, and we’ve collaborated on several projects before. Amazingly, he expressed interest in helping us out as a 3D modeler! Also, Ben is a friend of Wil who is familiar with graphic design, so we are going to utilize his skills to create some logos, advertisements, posters, and other designs that will be seen throughout the game’s city! So with the extra hands, we are focusing on making assets that will primarily be used in the demo level to replace the greyboxes we have now. Both guys are incredible assets to the team, and we can not wait to see their creations in action!
As for this month, we plan to work almost entirely in-engine. We would like to have our movement mechanics down and the pacing of the level to be fleshed out soon, so that we can begin importing both the new assets and hopefully work on enemy AI and puzzles. At the same time, we are getting closer and closer to figuring out how the game will end. Writing has been going smoothly, and we come up with new ways to keep the players engaged every day. Honestly, when we think the story can’t get better, we come up with something that knocks it out of the park. We are all so very proud of the game we are making, and as I’ve said before, we can not wait to show more of it off.
As we continue into these next couple of months, growing our team and our work output, we will have a lot more features to show off, with new social media along with them. Thanks for sticking with us so far, and I’ll talk to you soon!!
